The Commission on Parliamentary Services on Saturday, it will enact a law limiting bringing foreign workers from outside the country, while those that showed foreign workers tightened the noose on local employment and caused the spread of graduate unemployment.
"The presence of thousands of foreign workers in the oil companies caused a large spread of unemployment of graduates from the southern provinces," a member of the committee said. "The Ministry of the Interior is obliged to place large fees for foreign workers to force the investment companies to bring local labor and create Job opportunities for unemployed graduates ".
He added that "the Services Committee will work to legislate a number of laws to protect local workers, as well as legislation that restricts the import of foreign labor of the country," noting that "these foreign workers have tightened the screws on local employment and caused the spread of unemployment graduates."
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has revealed earlier, the registration of more than one hundred thousand foreign workers in Iraq issued the features of entry during 2017 and 2018 compared to 13 thousand Iraqi workers only among companies that have been granted a work permit. End 25 T
