This week, a [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/616/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AA %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%AF%D8%A9]US-[/url] China trade summit is being held as well as the release of US inflation data and the minutes of the Fed's recent meeting.
Fed Minutes The Fed will
announce the minutes of its meeting in December last Wednesday.
At the Fed's last meeting in 2018, the US central bank decided to increase its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 2.25% to 2.50%.
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said last week that the bank would not hesitate to adjust the pace of reducing the heavily indebted budget if the economy showed a need.
"I do not think reducing the bank's budget is an important part of the story of the market turmoil that started in the last quarter of last year, but I will say again if we reach a different result, we will not hesitate to make a change."
On Thursday, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and Federal Presidents of St. Louis and Chicago will also speak on different occasions.
Economic Data
Investors are set to meet important economic data at the end of this week as the [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/616/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AA %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%AF%D8%A9]US and[/url] Britain unveil a number of economic reports on growth and inflation.
On Friday, the UK releases gross domestic product data for the last month of 2018, along with manufacturing data and construction activity.
On the same day, the United States announced inflation data for December, amid expectations of a 0.1% contraction on a monthly basis after stabilizing in November.

representatives meet their counterparts from China on Monday and Tuesday in Beijing, China.
