The Electoral Commission of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) on Thursday promised to respond to the report of the EU expert mission to Iraq.
"In light of the transparency of the work of the Electoral Commission, the previous parliamentary elections, held on 12/5/2018, have been overseen by local and international organizations, including the European Union's electoral observation mission," the statement said.
"The Commission has always been concerned with all the reports received from all the organizations concerned with the electoral issue and with regard to the report of the last EU mission, which was circulated by the media," the statement said.
The statement added that the Commission is preparing a detailed report and an official response to the above report and the special aspect of the work of the Commission.
"The report will be distributed to the three presidencies, international organizations and the EU mission and will be published on the UNHCR official website in the coming days," the statement said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had published earlier in February, a report on the violations accompanied the polling day for the legislative elections that took place last May, as follows:
