The head of the Iraqi parliament, Mohamed Halboussi, stressed his country's opposition to any "embargo and embargo" against Iran.
This came during a meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rowhani during the official visit by Halboussi to Tehran.
"Halabousi praised Iran's efforts and support for Iraq in the fight against terrorist groups," Iranian media reported.
"Developing and strengthening cooperation between Iran and Iraq would support stability in the region," Halaboussi said.
