    BAGHDAD - 
    Iraq will be an important transit point between Europe and the Middle East, Transport Minister Abdullah Loibi said on Sunday. 
    "The Libyan minister discussed with the Romanian ambassador to Iraq, Iacov Prada, closer cooperation in the field of air transport and exchange of experiences," the ministry said in a statement received by Mawazine News. "The meeting also discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries, To transport goods and travelers ". 
    He called for the "to hold joint meetings with Romanian Airlines to reach bilateral understandings for the conduct of air line between Bucharest and Fadad, in addition to the use of Romanian crews in the operation of Iraqi Airways." 
    He stressed that "Iraq will be an important transit point between Europe and the Middle East," pointing out that "it is possible to benefit from the Romanian experience in various fields, especially the air."
    The Minister of Transport noted that "the meeting with the Romanian Ambassador discussed the training of Iraqi crews and pilots in the Romanian Aviation Academy." 
    For his part, the Romanian Ambassador, Iacov Prada, "his country's efforts to strengthen cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Transport, which serves the interests of the two countries through joint cooperation."
