announced that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran on Thursday expressed support for the accession of Iraq and Lebanon for talks in Astana 's b Syria .
"The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced today its support for the accession of Iraq and Lebanon to the talks of Astana in Syria," the Russian news agency SPOTNIK reported in an emergency report.
On April 10, 2019, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said five new countries could join the "Astana" talks on the settlement in Syria, including Iraq, Lebanon, Germany, China and Jordan.
The Kazakh Foreign Ministry announced earlier that the next round of "Astana" talks on the situation in Syria will be held on April 25 and 26 in its capital, Noor al-Sultan.
