    BAGHDAD -
    Aqaba ports are ready to receive Iraqi goods or neighboring countries, technically and assimilatively, the head of Aqaba's economic zone authority Nayef Bakheet said on Wednesday.
    Bakhit said in a statement reported by the Jordan News Agency and seen by (Mawazine News), that "the government and the authority has given incentives to receive Iraqi goods through the reduction of handling fees and all customs duties by 75 percent."
    He pointed out that "there are other bodies of transport companies, clearance and transport of ships involved in this process are under study in order to reduce the fees of goods and transit."
    "The aim of the meeting is to unite the efforts of all concerned parties in transport to facilitate the transport of goods, reduce costs and reduce the percentage of targeting of containers and transit," Bakheet said. "60 percent is now 14 percent and by the end of this year the target will not exceed 5 percent."
