For the 73rd day, Iraqis are continuing peaceful anti-demonstrations against the ruling political class, in which they stress their demands for the departure of power, the fight against corruption, and the accountability of those responsible.
This comes as college and school students organize protest [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and a permanent strike, while others cut off the main roads to expand the protest circle.
Dozens joined this morning to [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/1797/%D8%B3%D8%A7%D8%AD%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%B1]the Tahrir Square and the[/url] Turkish restaurant, to join the Almoravids there amid the chants of "We want a homeland and # both for the corrupt."
In Muthanna, dozens of residents of the nationalization area in Samawa cut the main road to the north of the governorate, in need of poor services, amid student gatherings in the sit-in of celebrations in the center of Samawah, and renewed demands for graduates of the administration and economy in Muthanna to demand job opportunities.
Al-Diwaniyah Governorate witnesses the continuation of the demonstrations, with elementary students returning to work only after the protesters allowed this.
As for Najaf, peaceful demonstrations and strikes are always in the universities and most of the governorate's schools are continuing despite the smooth flow of roads leading to and inside the governorate.
In Nasiriyah, demonstrations are still ongoing against the ruling and influential parties in the country, amid shouts demanding an independent prime minister who represents the demonstrations and does not represent the parties, while the province witnesses a relative calm in the morning after the incidents of tension on the morning of the first day after armed elements assaulted the demonstrators with weapons.
In the same context, dozens of protesters cut in the middle of Nasiriyah intersecting the main lobby in the middle of Nasiriyah, with tires.
A local source said that the protesters gathered tires and were preparing to set them on fire in the middle of the street.
