Barzani's party: Assigning Allawi an important step out of the current crisis

The Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Masoud Barzani announced his support to appoint Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi to form the new government.
The party member, Idris Shaaban, said in a press statement: "Assigning Allawi is an important and good step, and we promise our support for him to carry out his duties in this sensitive stage."
He added: "From the start, we were in favor of nominating anyone to be agreed upon, and this step is important, especially in light of the tense conditions in the country."
Barzani's party called on all blocs to support Allawi in charge of getting out of the current crisis and preparing for the early elections.
