On Sunday, the General Company for Mining Industries, a company of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, revealed revenues of more than one billion dinars per month from the export of its asphalt products.
The company’s general manager, Rafid Abd Al-Jalil Jabbar, said in a statement that / the information received, a copy of it, “The company owns a factory for construction products in Baghdad that produces a wide spectrum of different types of asphalt, including Prime Cot, Cat Buck, Kir Al-Taksa Al-Developer, Primer and others, as well as other Asphaltian factories in Basra and Anbar governorates.
Jabbar disclosed "a plan to establish (11) another factory in the various governorates due to the large demand and the local need for these products in addition to export requests," noting that "the company is currently studying a number of requests for processing asphalt products to find the appropriate mechanism to secure and meet these requests and enhance the company's resources, especially as it is It bears 20% of the salaries of its employees, and plans have been made to increase this percentage, and it bears the full salaries at the end of this year. ”
He pointed out that "the company absorbed about 1,000 people from the young energies during this year and formed committees to distribute them to the company sites and train them and provide them with the experience and skill necessary to enable them to work and continue the march to advance the company."
The general manager added that "the company was also able to secure the full need of the Korean company Hanwha of the types of asphalt products to implement the project to rehabilitate and develop the air base in Essaouira after these products proved their effectiveness, specifications, and high quality, as the Korean company booked the quantities it needed and bought them completely."
