Iraq participates in the ministerial meeting of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States

[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Iraq participated, through video conference technology, in the work of the 106th session of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, chaired by the State of Kuwait.
The meeting, in which the Iraqi delegation was headed by Minister of Trade Alaa al-Jubouri, with the participation of the Iraqi ambassador in Cairo Ahmed Nayef al-Dulaimi, discussed a number of key items, including how to deal with the consequences of the Coronavirus pandemic, support for the State of Palestine to confront the social effects of this pandemic, and support Lebanon to overcome The repercussions of the Beirut port disaster.
The meeting also discussed the agenda presented to the ministers, which was discussed by the social and economic committees of the council and by senior officials, as they raised a set of decisions in preparation for consideration by the ministers.
The ministers discussed the issue of dealing with the consequences of the Coronavirus pandemic from various social, health, humanitarian and economic aspects, as it will be among the items of high priority for the council meeting, as well as supporting the efforts of the State of Palestine to contain this pandemic and its social and humanitarian repercussions.
The Council also discussed a number of important measures within the framework of the full Arab support for the Lebanese Republic and solidarity with it to overcome the effects of the Beirut Port disaster that occurred on 4/8/2020, and to provide economic, social and development support to enable them to overcome the repercussions of this disaster.
