Shafaq News / The Central Bank of Iraq sales of hard currency decreased, on Tuesday, to record 25 million dollars.
The correspondent of Shafaq News Agency stated that the Central Bank of Iraq witnessed during its auction for the sale and purchase of foreign currencies today a decrease in its sales by 29.48 percent to reach 25 million 905 thousand and 199 dollars, which the bank covered at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to Monday, when it reached Sales of 35 million and 234 thousand dollars.
The purchases amounting to 25 million 905 thousand and 199 dollars went to strengthen the funds abroad in the form of transfers and credits, while the banks did not purchase the dollar in cash.
Our correspondent indicated that 7 banks have fulfilled the requests to enhance assets abroad.
