The president of the Age of the Council Mehdi al-Hafez said that MP Aram Sheikh Mohammed got 171 votes out of a total 241voters.
The council has chosen today MP Salim al-Jubouri as speaker of the House of Representatives and MP for the state of law Haider Abadi as first deputy, after the withdrawal of his rival Ahmed Chalabi.
