A new political equation in the Middle East drawn by the American withdrawal

Maya Carlin, a researcher and analyst at the Center for Security Policy in Washington, says there is a major shift in the Biden administration's Middle East policy because it aims to redirect its attention to China and Russia rather than the Middle East.
Carlin criticizes this policy by saying that if our strategic allies in the Middle East cannot rely on the United States for air defense technology and support, they may turn to our adversaries to do so.
The Pentagon confirmed on June 18 that the US Central Command issued directives to withdraw some forces and capabilities from the region as it reduced its military force in Iraq and announced the withdrawal of all its forces in Afghanistan.
Carlin said in a report published by the National Interest magazine, that the Biden administration, as stated in the German agency's report, also intends to withdraw many air defense equipment from countries throughout the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait and Jordan.
The Wall Street Journal reported that about eight Patriot anti-missile batteries will be removed along with the THAAD system.
These planned withdrawals come at a time when attacks are escalating across the region. In Iraq, factions have used missiles and drones to attack US assets and military personnel continuously over the past year.
Since April, drones loaded with explosives have been used to attack US personnel in Iraq.
The British newspaper, the Telegraph, said that the imminent departure of the remaining NATO forces in Afghanistan had encouraged the Taliban movement to fill the power vacuum.
This may also happen in countries that depend on American influence to maintain security, and many regional equations depend on the American presence, which, if absent, is likely to be filled by extremist forces, as is the case in Afghanistan, which is what happened in Iraq when American forces withdrew The year 2011, which led to the exacerbation of terrorism later, and ended with the control of ISIS over a large territory in Iraq and Syria.
