The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, directed, on Saturday, to proceed with the implementation of the provisions of paragraph C of Article 50 of the budget law.
A statement by his media office, a copy of which was received by Mawazine News, stated that "the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, met in the presence of the Chairman of the Agriculture, Water and Marshlands Committee, Representative Salam al-Shammari, with the Minister of Agriculture and the Deputy Minister of Commerce."
The Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed, during the meeting, "the payment of farmers' dues for crops of wheat, barley and rye to all farmers throughout Iraq, including the dues of farmers for previous years in the liberated cities."
He pointed out, "Proceeding with the implementation of the provisions of Paragraph C of Article 50 of the Budget Law, which stipulates: (The Council of Ministers must increase the current prices for the purchase of wheat and barley crops from farmers by 50 thousand dinars per ton), due to the need to support farmers, develop this sector and address collateral damage. that hit this vital sector as a result of the change in the dollar exchange rate.” Ended 29/A 43
