Planning: a statistical survey of residential real estate assets in the country

{Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Planning has begun conducting a field survey of residential real estate assets in the country.
The Director of Publication and Information in the Central Statistical Organization affiliated with the ministry, Nidaa Hussein Abdullah, said in a press interview, "The indices department in the agency has begun conducting a field survey of real estate assets, for the purpose of providing sufficient information and data on the prices of all real estate and residential buildings."
She added that "the survey, which will include all governorates of the country, including the governorates of the Kurdistan region, is implemented in response to the need of government institutions to know the real estate index for residential buildings," noting that "the survey will be implemented in three phases and semi-annually, and includes the second half of last year, the first half and then Next is the second of this year.
Abdullah explained that "the Central Statistical Organization chaired the working committee with the Central Bank of Iraq and other competent authorities and institutions, to discuss the importance of the survey and determine the indicators that it will extract from important statistical results that serve decision makers, in order to adopt the relevant decisions properly."
She indicated that "the survey, which is being implemented for the first time in Iraq, will make it at the forefront of the Arab countries that implemented it after Tunisia and Saudi Arabia," noting that "the survey will include the centers and districts of the governorates through field visits and for the residential category only, as the residential areas will be divided into three levels of living, namely High, medium and low, due to their varying prices.
