Earth News/ The Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Joint Economic Cooperation Committee between Iran and Iraq, Ali Akbar Mehrabian, announced today, Monday, Tehran's readiness to conclude a comprehensive document in the field of trade exchange with Baghdad.

Mehrabian pointed to the "good dealings between Iran and Iraq"; He expressed his hope that "these bonds will lead to upgrading the level of bilateral cooperation in the field of electric energy and to serve the interests of both countries."
For his part, Al-Mamouri pointed to "the growth of economic cooperation between Iraq and the Islamic Republic in recent years"; He looked forward, in his meeting with the Iranian Minister of Energy, to "the expansion of bilateral relations more and more during the future period."
According to the agency, the Iraqi advisor gave an explanation about the Shalamcheh-Basra railway road, and the growth of commercial dealings between the two countries; Expressing the hope that all outstanding debts will be paid soon.
And she indicated that "in conclusion, Mehrabian and Al-Mamouri agreed to prepare 3 drafts within one week, to be added to the electricity sale agreement signed between the Iranian company, Tawanir, with Iraq; It should be handed over to the Iraqi side for consideration and decision.”
