    A delegation from the British Embassy visits the headquarters of the Baghdad Investment Authority  

    Within the frameworks of consolidating relations and extending bridges of cooperation between them and the Iraqi government institutions, a high-level delegation from the British Embassy visited this morning, Sunday 30/1/2022, the headquarters of the Baghdad Investment Commission, and met its Chairman, Engineer Haider Al-Ansari, who expressed his thanks and praise to the delegation’s representatives for this important visit that will expand The prospects for cooperation between the two sides will contribute significantly to highlighting the role of investment and its importance to the capital, Baghdad. The two sides discussed the investment mechanism, what are the facilities provided by the authority to companies and investors, the guarantees guaranteed by law, and the investment opportunities currently available to attract international companies and encourage them to implement important investment projects in the country.

    During his meeting with the delegation, Al-Ansari gave a detailed explanation of the licenses granted by the authority since its establishment until today, which amounted to (421) investment licenses in all sectors. He indicated to them that the authority is making all its efforts and endeavors to develop and support the investment process by adopting speed and accuracy in granting licenses to implement investment projects, in addition to overcoming all obstacles and obstacles facing companies and investors by introducing the electronic platform system, which has greatly reduced time and bypassed the existing routine. Between the Authority and the sectoral bodies related to the investment process.

    Al-Ansari also explained to the delegation the role of the authority in providing many job opportunities for the unemployed, which reached (60) thousand workers by employing them in investment projects and ensuring their rights through the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

    For its part, the British delegation expressed its thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the authority and commended the great achievements it has achieved, stressing their full readiness to support the work of the authority and provide it with all possible services to revive investment and move it forward for the better in order to reach the investment process to the level that meets the ambition and in a manner Which achieves the renaissance of the economic and urban reality in the capital, Baghdad.
