Shafaq News/ The General Directorate of Industrial Development of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced on Saturday granting nearly 150 establishment permits for industrial projects last January.
The director general of the directorate, Aziz Nazim Abd, confirmed in a statement received to Shafaq News Agency, "The directorate's efforts are continuing to provide specialized services and the necessary facilities to private and mixed sector projects in accordance with the controls and privileges of the Industrial Investment Law No. (20) of 1998 and within the capabilities available to the directorate."
He pointed out that "the number of licenses granted to establish new industrial projects (under construction) for the aforementioned month amounted to (144), while plots of land were allocated for the establishment of industrial projects, with a number of (72) plots of land, in addition to granting (49) an estimate of need to meet the industrial needs of raw materials. and fuel.”
Abd explained, "The directorate pays great attention and care to the progress of work in industrial projects through conducting periodic inspections by the specialized technical committees and intensively for all projects and in all governorates, as field inspection was conducted for (409) industrial projects in addition to providing specialized services Others included the renewal of identities for industrial projects with a number of (295) identities and granting (16) establishment completion certificates for projects that meet the required conditions, re-enactment of (2) licenses, as well as legal procedures and transfer of ownership amounting to (168) procedures.
