Parliament will ask the government to send the 2022 budget

I find it interesting that the newly elected Parliament is asking for the "Caretaker/emergency gov" to send the budget for 2022. Parliament is thereby acknowledging the authority of the current gov. We know that the IMF will in conjunction with the Iraqi gov bring forward the RV. To me it appears that the IMF could in fact work with the current gov to complete the project since the newly elected Parliament identifies with the current gov status as legitimate and after all this current gov brought forward the "Whitepaper" which as we know is the move to the free market economy. So it's at least possible rather than having to wait for the new gov to settle it's situation. Iraq would be better economically the sooner the RV is complete and reconstruction begins. Asking for the 2022 budget is a good sign by the newly elected Parliament to now bring forward the required change. JMO

Baghdad / Obelisk: The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, announced, on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, a request to the government to send the 2022 budget.
Al-Zamili said, in a statement followed by the obelisk, that “the House of Representatives will ask the current government to prepare and send the 2022 budget.”
The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, confirmed earlier that the Parliament is continuing its work and performing its legislative and oversight tasks, and is awaiting sending the current year’s budget.
