    On Sunday, the Ministry of Electricity announced that it had achieved an unprecedented production in energy savings, while noting that it had saved more than 24 thousand megawatts.
    The ministry said in a statement, "Our national staff, under the direct supervision of the Minister of Electricity, Adel Karim, has achieved an unprecedented production of the electric power system, which reached 24047 megawatts, which is the highest production load that the system has reached since its establishment," noting that "there is high and remarkable stability to equip citizens with electricity." ".
    And she added, "We worked hard and started reaping the fruits of the efforts of our working staff, who worked day and night, despite security, economic and financial challenges, and the decline and rise in national gas and resource emissions, and despite a health pandemic in which the heroes of the Ministry of Health were the first line of resistance, and our staff (first service line), to maintain momentum work and serve the citizens.
    And she continued, "With a permanently held operations room, and a crisis cell that did not leave its meetings for months, and with direct supervision, follow-ups and field tours from the Minister of Electricity Adel Karim, the advanced staff, high coordination with the central government, and great support from Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, the Mujahideen and Heroes of the Ministry Electricity has worked to increase production and introduce transmission lines to achieve sufficient availability that was not achieved before, qualify the distribution sector and increase the number of fixed and mobile transformer stations, in order to serve our great Iraq and our citizens.
    She stated that "what the ministry has achieved is the highest production since the date of its establishment, and with high stability," pointing out that "if the budgets were available, we would have proceeded with implementing the short ceiling of the ministry's plan within one year, which was going to increase and add seven thousand new megawatts."
    The ministry expected "to achieve a higher increase in production in the coming days by introducing a number of stations and production units to be more than 1,000 new megawatts, by adding the Salah Al-Din Thermal Power Plant, Al-Rumaila Compound, Maysan Al-Mosabah, and Shatt Al-Basra," pointing out that "we are proceeding." Our plans to introduce combined cycles and cooling systems in all gas stations, in addition to proceeding with projects of solar power plants, waste recycling, and electrical interconnection projects, which will achieve high reliability and great stability for the electrical network.”
