    The Director General of the Basra Oil Company, Khaled Hamza, revealed today, Tuesday, the preparation of an integrated study for the rehabilitation of the Basra and Al-Amaya ports.
    Hamza said in a statement to the official television, "The Basra oil port is more than 50 years old, and if there were no maintenance works, this facility would have been out of service now and it is dilapidated, as it was exposed to three wars," noting that "the issue of the oil spill that the port was exposed to. It has been processed, and there is no loss of oil or gas, and all production on that day was transferred to a large storage facility, and gas was secured at this stage.”
    He pointed out that "the company has procedures to reduce these cases, and there is coordination with international companies," noting that "the company has a full study to rehabilitate the structure of the port of Basra, as well as the port of Al-Amaya."
