    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

A British website revealed today, Friday, that the European Union's purchases of Iraqi oil increased by 49% during the year 2022, but at the same time, not much of the region's oil was purchased, which went to Asia instead of Europe, despite the close distance to the Turkish port of Ceyhan, due to The European Union fears the impact on the relationship with SOMO and the Baghdad government, which considers the region's oil as an "illegal" source.
The British Argos website stated that “the various raw materials for Basra oil in Iraq appeared as a popular alternative to the Russian Urals crude, as many European refineries distanced themselves from the Russian crude months before the start of the embargo imposed by the European Union.”
Data collected by “Argos”, according to the report, shows an increase in Iraq’s exports from Basra to northwestern Europe and the Mediterranean by 49% over the course of 2022, to reach about 640,000 barrels per day in the period from January to November. .
The report pointed out, "The Kirkuk crude blend, most of which is marketed by the Kurdistan Regional Government, is considered another clear alternative to refineries in the Mediterranean countries, given that it is transported to the Turkish port of Ceyhan."
He added, "The continuation of the dispute between the federal government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government over the issue of controlling oil resources in the region made refineries in the Mediterranean region deal with caution for fear of risking their relations with the Iraqi SOMO company, which is responsible for marketing Basra oil."
The British report noted that “this has led, in recent months, to an increase in sales of the region’s oil shares in Kirkuk, to buyers in the Asia-Pacific region at cheaper prices, in order to be able to compete with the low-priced Urals crude,” adding that “this situation may gain Additional momentum during the year 2023.
