    Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Commerce announced that the staff of the Companies Registration Department completed the transactions of establishing 3017 national limited companies and registering 173 branches of foreign companies, in addition to registering 14 commercial agencies during the past year.

    The Director General of the Companies Registration Department, Mujahid Muhammad Shafi Al-Aifan, said in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that “several decisions were issued during this month related to amending the contracts of joint-stock companies, increasing and decreasing capital, merging company accounts, and liquidating company accounts," adding It also documented (3216) registered companies, notated the minutes, and referred (2609) Iraqi companies, and (241) foreign companies to the judicial investigator for violating the controls and instructions .

    He pointed out that "the department has studied the final accounts of the national companies, which number (13,221) national companies, (207) foreign companies, the main center, and (173) the foreign branches of companies, in addition to merging the accounts of (243) and a decision to increase or decrease the capital (362). Company, noting liquidation and merger decisions, increasing and decreasing capital accounts of (2859) companies, noting reservations and verifying the names whose funds are reserved for (4335) ), auditing receipts (63295), ratifying the decisions of the General Authority for Limited Companies and Persons (7623), approving the priorities of Iraqi companies registered in the region of Kurdistan (155).

    He pointed out that "his department ratified the minutes of the founding meetings of the limited companies, which numbered (2849) minutes, in addition to ratifying the minutes of the meetings of the General Assembly of joint-stock companies (848), and archiving filing documents (8457).
