The Iraqi General Cement Company, one of the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, counted today, Wednesday, the volume of sales and revenues generated from cement production for the month of December of last year, while it revealed plans to achieve a boom in production during the current year.
The company's general manager, Hussein Mohsen Obaid, said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the company achieved the highest quantity of supply and sales value of cement in December of last year, amounting to 173 thousand tons , with a value of more than 15 billion dinars.
He pointed out that "the achievement of this achievement came after the completion of the conversion of the burning system from black oil to gas in the Kufa Cement Plant. The third line in the same year, which contributed to reducing the costs of cement production.
He explained, "The gas burning system is economically feasible, as it is environmentally friendly and works to reduce the costs of cement production, in addition to maintaining the quality and quality of the produced cement."
And he stressed, "The current year 2023 will witness a boom in production after completing the plans drawn for the company by completing the dry gas system project in all of the company's factories."
