The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed, on Thursday, its intention to form a committee to follow up on the delay in sending the draft budget law, calling on the government to expedite sending the draft federal budget law for the year 2023 to the House of Representatives.
"The Parliamentary Finance Committee intends to form a committee to coordinate with the government regarding sending the general budget for the year 2023 to the House of Representatives," said the first deputy head of the committee, Ahmed Mazhar Al-Jubouri, in a press statement.
Al-Jubouri stressed "the need to complete the budget and then transfer it to parliament as soon as possible," noting that "the country is in dire need of legislation on the budget law."
