    Today, Monday, the Integrity Commission announced the seizure of nearly 20 rigs that were not used by the Oil Exploration Company in Basra.
    A statement by the Commission's Investigation Department stated, "A team from the Commission's Investigation Directorate in Basra moved to the headquarters of the Oil Exploration Company - the 4th Seismic Division, where it was able to seize 18 manual rigs, along with their priorities," pointing out that "the team concluded that These rigs are new and have not been used since 2018."
    He pointed out, "These rigs were brought in at the request of the company operating the Majnoon oil field (Shell Company), and they have not been used since the field was subjected to flooding, as the project was completed without using them."
    And he added, that in a second operation, "the team moved to the headquarters of the same company, and seized an excavator of the type (Bockline - Cutler Pler)", noting that "the investigation and investigations carried out by the team and its preliminary investigations led to the purchase process being in the year 2014, while Its purchase amounted to $250,000.
    He explained, "The rig was left in the water for two years, and there is an attempt to repair it at a cost of 35 million dinars," stressing, "The organization of the two operations, which were carried out based on two judicial notes, and their presentation, along with the exhibits, to the judge of the Basra Investigation Court, which is specialized in examining integrity cases. To complete the appropriate legal procedures, and determine the amount of damage to public money and the point of negligence.
