The Parliamentary Finance Committee is studying the reduction of ministries’ allocations in the two thousand and twenty-three budget.
Committee member Hussein Moanes explained that the Finance Committee is working on discussing budget allocations, pointing out that there are some ministries that consider their budgets inappropriate or inconsistent with the ministerial curriculum adopted by the government.
He added, because of the large amounts, the hostings were scheduled to discuss the possibility of reducing them, and among the personalities that will be discussed will be the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank.
He continued, that the Finance Committee is entrusted with distributing the people's money in a fair manner and supervising the disbursement, noting that the procedures applied by the committee are within its national responsibility in order to be accurate in making any decision.
And he indicated that the Finance Committee demanded the final accounts, but only the accounts for two years were sent, and it is awaiting more.
