Shafaq News/ The Kurdistan Region Presidency expected, on Sunday, to resume exporting the region's oil again through the pipeline extending to the Turkish port of Ceyhan, in response to the international ruling won by the federal government, which caused the suspension of exports from that pipeline.
"Until now, we do not know of the issuance of an official decision regarding stopping the export of oil in the Kurdistan Region," said the spokesman for the regional presidency, Dilshad Shihab, in a press conference held today, stressing that a delegation from the regional government went to the capital, Baghdad, to discuss this matter with the relevant authorities.

He added that there is an agreement between the State of Turkey and the Kurdistan Regional Government regarding the export of oil, just as there is an agreement between Iraq and Turkey.
"And if there is a temporary halt to the export of oil, we are assured of the resumption and continuation of the process of exporting Kurdistan's oil," Shihab continued.
And the Federal Ministry of Oil announced, on Saturday, that it had won the international arbitration case filed by Iraq against Turkey regarding the export of crude oil from the Kurdistan Region through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, while it stated that it would discuss the export mechanism through the same port with the concerned authorities in the region and the authorities in Ankara, according to for new data.
The Reuters news agency quoted an oil official as saying that Iraq had stopped today, Saturday, 450,000 barrels per day of crude exports from the Kurdistan Region and the northern fields of Kirkuk, after the country won a long-term arbitration case against Turkey.
In a case dating back to 2014, Baghdad alleged that Turkey violated a joint agreement by allowing the KRG to export oil through a pipeline to the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
A senior official in the Iraqi Oil Ministry said, "The International Court of Arbitration formally informed the final ruling on Thursday and it was in favor of Iraq."
A source said Turkey had told Iraq it would respect the arbitration ruling.
Turkish navigation officials told Iraqi employees of the Ceyhan Turkish Oil Export Center that no ship would be allowed to load Kurdistan Region's crude without the approval of the Iraqi government, according to Reuters.
