the Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Bengin Rikani, announced today, Tuesday, that the Council of Ministers agreed, in its session today, to raise the lending ceiling for the Iraqi Housing Fund affiliated to the ministry in accordance with the Fund's law.
Rikani confirmed, according to a statement issued by the ministry, a copy of which Mawazine News received, that "the cabinet approved the recommendation of the Housing Fund Board of Trustees in its first session for the year 2023, to increase the lending ceilings according to the fund's law to be (60) million dinars, for provincial and district centers." And the districts, including the governorate of Baghdad, as of the date of ratification.
He added, "The loan will be repaid in monthly installments over a period of (15) years, with the deduction of transaction fees and examination fees amounting to 2% for one time, in order to alleviate the burden of citizens and in line with the current economic conditions and contribute to solving the housing crisis."
