Representatives in the House of Representatives counted the exemption of general managers, which Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani recently began to implement, as a “health condition,” for their failure to manage their positions, indicating that Parliament will not interfere in this issue and will leave the option to al-Sudani in choosing replacements according to professional standards.
The head of the Sanad bloc in Parliament, Mortada Al-Saadi, said in a statement to "Al-Sabah": "Parliament considers the dismissal and dismissal of some general managers recently as a health condition," noting that "the criterion for selecting general managers must take into account the organization in the administration, just as administrative and financial corruption And mismanagement has combined with some of the managers present in most institutions and ministries.
Al-Saadi added that "the decision of the Council of Ministers to exclude or transfer must result in replacements of those who are certified for work, integrity, courage and competence," noting that "some of the managers who were included in the decision consider themselves wronged, and we hope that the criterion by the formed committee is to take into account the alternative personalities." He explained that "political interference in government institutions exists, no one can completely exclude it from day to day, but Parliament monitors the Prime Minister's steps and limits many of the interventions of political forces."
Representative Salem Al-Anbaki said: Al-Sudani's step "in replacing the general managers is a positive step, because we always look at the authority that appointed the director or the agent, and it cannot be changed except with the approval of this authority, but Al-Sudani this time set the evaluation as a criterion in changing managers, not exclusion or intent in Change" .
He stated that "the managers who have been replaced have more than four years or more, and that was a negative period in the work, as the employee's stay in his place all this period is a negative matter," expressing his hope that "better replacements will be chosen in terms of their ability to serve the institution or The ministry or the directorate, according to the criterion of change in selecting personalities whose work is correct in serving the citizen.
He continued by saying that the government "has good relations during this period with the regional or Arab community as well as the internal situation, and there is a path for the Prime Minister's steps, so the change must be at the level of this ambition, especially as we are on the verge of an economic and urban renaissance," pointing out that "the cabinet has full powers To dismiss the general managers, and this also requires giving him freedom by the political blocs in choosing replacements because he is the one who bears the responsibility and Parliament will be supportive of him.
