Earth News/ The Director of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, Engineer Farhan Al-Fartusi, held an important meeting yesterday, Monday, that included the team charged with preparing the requirements for operating the Grand Al-Faw Port.
The Director General said in a statement received by Earth News, “In implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister, Engineer Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and the Minister of Transport, Mr. Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, to prepare the requirements of the Grand Al-Faw Port, and during our field tour, we held a meeting with the team charged with preparing the requirements for operating the port,” and he added, “
during The meeting will discuss the proposed ways and methods to operate the port and ensure its inclusion as an important maritime port in the global transportation system, while formulating policies for the management and operation of the industrial zone and the rest of the port’s components and the foundation plan for the Al-Faw Peninsula.”
He continued, "The attendees also reviewed the completion rates in the five projects that have reached very advanced stages."
