    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:[/rtl]
[rtl]The Parliamentary Agriculture and Water Committee revealed an increase in water releases to the Tigris and Euphrates rivers by 500 kilometers per second, stressing that this increase is insufficient and Turkey must realize that there is an option to sever relations with them. Committee member Rafiq Al-Salhi said in a press statement, “Turkey caused a real crisis for Iraq by not releasing sufficient amounts of water and building many dams, and thus Iraqi agriculture and livestock were greatly damaged.”Al-Salhi added, “The committee informed the government of the need to oblige Turkey to international agreements regarding water, and if it does not comply, we will go to the option of severing relations with it or at least severing commercial relations,” noting that “Turkey has a trade exchange with Iraq amounting to 20 trillion dinars annually, and it can be used.” This paper is for pressure in the water file.” [/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out, “Turkey recently increased water releases to the Tigris and Euphrates rivers by 500 cubic kilometers per second out of 700, and this quantity is insufficient.” He pointed out that "the Iranian side is committed to water releases into the Karun River, and the releases continue naturally without decreasing."[/rtl]
