Today, Sunday, the activities of the “International Investor Day” conference kicked off in the capital, Baghdad.
A statement by the Securities Commission stated, “Within the framework of enhancing the investment climate and attracting national and international capital, and under the patronage of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the activities of the “World Investor Day” conference in Iraq were launched today, which was organized by the Iraqi Securities Commission in the presence of a large number of personalities. government and the private sector.
He added, "The opening session of the conference included a speech by the Chairman of the Authority, Faisal Al-Haims, in which he stressed the Authority's commitment to providing a suitable environment for investment and protecting the rights of investors. The event was also characterized by presentations on the various investment sectors in the country and the available opportunities."
He continued, "The conference will discuss the promising investment opportunities in Iraq, its strategic location, and the opportunities and challenges of investment and development in the securities sector."
He stated that "the conference activities will continue until Monday, where participants will have the opportunity to interact and communicate with companies and various government agencies to discuss investment opportunities and sign agreements and strategic partnerships."
He explained that the “World Investor Day” conference represents an important opportunity for Iraq to strengthen its position as an important investment destination in the region and increase international cooperation in multiple fields.
