The leader in the coordination framework, Turki Al-Utbi, revealed today, Monday (October 23, 2023), that the government has begun investigations into complaints regarding the exposure of lands belonging to citizens to seizure by influential parties in 6 different regions in Iraq .
Al-Otbi said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “the Sudanese government is interacting with the issue of lifting violations and preventing any influential parties, regardless of affiliations, whether political or other, from any action outside the legal frameworks, including trying to seize agricultural lands or orchards of simple citizens in any country.” governorate".
He added, "Investigations have actually begun into complaints submitted by citizens in 6 regions of the country, including the capital, about their lands being subjected to violations by influential parties," pointing out that "the law is the one that decides the situation and there is no one above it, and fairness to citizens is necessary to achieve the principle of justice." .
He pointed out that "all the files presented will be made public after the investigations are completed and the merits of what happened are legally stated."
Last August, the Iraqi judiciary issued arrest warrants against 8 people in the case of involvement in seizing citizens’ lands in Jadriya, in a case that shook public opinion, until the supreme religious authority, Ali al-Sistani, issued a condemnation of the attack on citizens’ property .
