    Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein informed the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, today, Wednesday (November 22, 2023), of his rejection of the recent escalation in the country after the American bombing of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Jurf al-Nasr, north of Babylon, at dawn today, which resulted in martyrs and wounded.
    During the meeting, Hussein expressed his "rejection of the recent escalation that the Iraqi arena witnessed during the past two days," noting that it is "a dangerous escalation that violates Iraqi sovereignty, which we are committed to preserving and preserving, in accordance with the constitutional and legal duties of the government."
    He stressed, "The government of Iraq condemns the attack that targeted the Jurf al-Nasr area, which took place without the knowledge of the Iraqi government authorities, considering it a clear violation of Iraqi sovereignty, and that it is rejected based on Iraqi constitutional sovereignty and international law."
    The Popular Mobilization Forces announced that a number of Popular Mobilization Authority sites had been subjected to an American bombardment at dawn on Wednesday, targeting the Jazeera Operations Command within the Jurf al-Nasr sector, north of Babylon, resulting in 8 martyrs and 4 wounded.
