    On Saturday, the Federal Integrity Commission asked the governorate councils for the current session to provide them with the numbers of council members, their names, the names of council heads, governors, their deputies, and their disclosure statements.
    The authority said in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the Prevention Department addressed all governorate councils in order to provide them with the numbers of council members, their names, and the names of council heads and governors,” stressing “the necessity of submitting their financial disclosure statements within the periods specified in the law.” .
    She pointed out that “Clause (First) of Article (17) of the Amended Integrity and Illicit Gain Commission Law (30 of 2011) stipulates that the taxpayer is obligated to submit the form within (90) days from the date of assuming the job or position or the date of the end of his relationship with them, or During the month of January of each year.
    She stressed, "Forcing officials to disclose their financial liabilities, their foreign activities, investments, assets, donations, or large benefits that may lead to a conflict of interest, contributes to strengthening the confidence of the Iraqi people in the government and state institutions."
    She explained that “Article (16/First) of the Authority’s effective law obligates, in Clauses (M and N), the heads and members of the governorate councils organized in a region and those not organized in a region, the governors, their deputies, their assistants, their advisors, [the mayors] and the district directors, to disclose their financial liabilities.”
    In late June, the Independent High Electoral Commission approached the Independent High Electoral Commission to coordinate with it. In order to provide the Commission with a list that includes the names of those included, including party leaders and members of the founding bodies, and to notify those assigned; For the purpose of filling out the financial disclosure form.
