Legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi confirmed, on Thursday, that the decisions of the Federal Court are clear and constitutionally binding on all authorities in Baghdad and Erbil, indicating that the decisions of the Federal Court regarding the region’s crisis are not subject to appeal or discrimination.
Al-Tamimi said in an interview followed by Mawazine News, “The Federal Court confirmed the implementation of the regional government handing over oil and other revenues to the central government, and that the decisions are a solution to the employee salaries crisis in the region.”
He added, "The central government and Parliament must be committed to the decisions of the Federal Court in order for the regional government to be committed."
He pointed out that "the court's decisions are thoughtful and distinct and looked for the spirit of the law and the humanitarian aspects of resolving crises, and they will be mandatory and considered a solution to the issue of elections in the Kurdistan region," explaining that "the decisions are considered a law, and if the regional government does not implement them, it will not receive Kurdistan's entitlements."
