[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Fouad Hussein, chaired on Monday the seventh session of the Ministerial Council for the Economy, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, the Ministers of Agriculture, Industry, Labor and Social Affairs, the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, and the Prime Minister’s advisors for economic and legal affairs.
The Council discussed the items on its agenda and took the necessary decisions regarding them.
The Council decided to approve the completion of the project to establish a service street linking the Clock Roundabout to Al-Rehab Roundabout in the city of Fallujah.
The Council also agreed to include the components for equipping and installing a production line at the seed purification plant in Nineveh Governorate.
In view of the high prices of red meat in Iraqi markets and to contribute to reducing prices, the Council approved the request of the Ministry of Agriculture and recommended to the Council of Ministers to reduce customs duties on imported live animals for the purposes of slaughter and breeding (livestock and sheep) by 50% for a period of one year./End 8[/rtl]
