[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Minister of Commerce, Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairi, discussed, “Today, Saturday, during an official visit to Nineveh Governorate, with Governor Abdul Qadir Al-Dakhil, preparations for the marketing season for the current year to enhance storage capacities and rehabilitate grain sites, as well as joint work mechanisms to support the work of commercial branches and the services they provide to the people of the governorate.”
Minister Al-Ghurairi confirmed, "During the meeting, Nineveh Governorate is one of the governorates with large agricultural yields that produce wheat, which requires enhancing storage capacity to absorb the quantities expected to be marketed this year."
The Minister stressed, "In his speech, the Ministry, as part of its procedures for the holy month of Ramadan and in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister to maintain the prices of basic foodstuffs in the local market, will open several shopping centers in addition to operating hundreds of trucks to provide the needs of families with limited income of these materials in addition to meat materials." Chickens and eggs are of high quality and at competitive and appropriate prices.”
The minister explained, "These measures will be accompanied by strict monitoring campaigns, and in coordination with the security services, to take legal measures against price manipulators and those who exploit the sanctity of the holy month by exaggerating prices and practicing commercial fraud as well."
At the same time, Al-Ghurairi indicated, "Work is also underway to open the shopping festival in Nineveh during the holy month, in addition to supporting the marketing outlet with food and meat to serve the people of Nineveh."
Al-Ghurairi expressed his thanks “to the governor for supporting the work of commercial branches in performing the tasks assigned to them in providing services, as well as his support for restoring the infrastructure of a number of branches as part of the reconstruction campaign taking place in the governorate.”
For his part, the Governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qadir Al-Dakhil, affirmed his “full support for the work of all commercial branches and his keenness to welcome the marketing season by allocating funds to build warehouses and open additional warehouses and yards to store wheat for this year, in line with government directives to support the national product.”/End H[/rtl]
