Independent MP, Abdul Hadi Al-Abbasi, today, Tuesday, called on the government to invest in the decisions of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to confirm Baghdad’s water rights.
Al-Abbasi said in an interview with Mawazine News, “Turkey did not act with Iraq, which dictates good neighborliness, and the evidence is that it cut off water to Iraq.”
He added, "Turkey still wants to achieve its interests at the expense of Iraq without considering its interests at a time when Iraq has dealt and is still dealing on the principle of good neighborliness with regional countries and with Turkey."
He pointed out that "bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey must be consolidated for the benefit of the two neighboring countries by taking advantage of the visit of Turkish President Erdogan."
