    Trend Press - Qatar

The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, reiterated on Wednesday his country's readiness to hold a dialogue to resolve the Gulf crisis, which respects its sovereignty, stressing that "there is no winner, we are all brothers and we are all losers of this crisis."
This came in a statement to the Emir of Qatar at a joint press conference with Indonesian President Goku Vedido at the presidential palace "Boukour Palace" in the capital Jakarta.
In his remarks, Sheikh Tamim referred to the "unjust siege on Qatar and its humanitarian effects on the people of Qatar and the Gulf peoples."
"Qatar is always ready for dialogue to resolve these issues, because there is no winner. We are all brothers and we are all losers of this crisis, and therefore Qatar is open to dialogue in accordance with agreements binding on all parties to respect the sovereignty of states," he said.
Since June 5, the Gulf has been plagued by a political crisis after Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut ties with Qatar on the grounds of "supporting terrorism".
On the other hand, Prince Tamim said that his talks in Indonesia "dealt with several issues, including the issue of Rohingya and their suffering, and that there must be an urgent solution (to their suffering)."
"Qatar has provided assistance, and this is the duty of states to provide assistance to affected people," he said, calling on the Myanmar government "to put an end to this problem."
The Qatari Emir also said that issues of mutual concern were also discussed, especially in the fields of investment, infrastructure, energy and tourism.
