    Economy News - Baghdad
Today, Thursday, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Syria, Yassin Al-Hujaimi, denied that any decision had been issued to deport Syrian workers from Iraq, indicating that the matter was related to regulating the residency of foreigners in general.
Al-Hujaimi said, in an interview followed by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the people displaced or deported from Iraqi lands are of different nationalities, Arab, Asian, and African, who violated the residency law.”
He explained that the problem is related to violating the residency law, whether “they entered the Iraqi governorates without an entry visa and without prior approval, or they exceeded the period of residence, as there is a certain period of residence that is prohibited from exceeding.”
