Oil prices rose on Monday, as the market focused on this week's OPEC + policy meeting and any comment on a possible return of Iranian supplies.
Oil is preparing for a second consecutive monthly gains as the United States, China and parts of Europe lead a strong economic recovery, despite the virus returning across Asia.
West Texas Intermediate for July delivery rose 0.54% to $ 66.66 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange at 06:27 GMT after rising 4.3% last week. Futures are up 5% this month.
Brent crude for August rose 0.6% to $ 69.22 on the ICE Futures Exchange, after losing 0.7% in the previous session.
When OPEC + meets on Tuesday, investors will also look for any clues about the next phase of the group's supply policy amid mounting expectations for demand to accelerate through the end of the year.
The state-run Islamic Republic News Agency reported; That Iran began its first transportation of crude oil through the strategic Jore-Jask pipeline, which allowed the country to bypass the Strait of Hormuz.
