The Parliamentary Legal Committee considered that the use of the biometric card as a document in official transactions is a good thing. It encourages the voter to proceed with updating his data.

Committee member, Raed Al-Maliki, said in an interview with the Official Gazette, that "using the voter's card in transactions, including with the notary public, is okay because it is a guarantee of the voter's right to participate in the elections," noting that "there is no obligation for the citizen to participate in the elections, but The voter may change his mood when he sees the importance of the biometric card.

Al-Maliki added, "The use of the biometric card at the notary public is welcome, but it must be circulated to all other official dealings, given that it urges the voter to update his electoral card and has the freedom to participate or not participate in the elections."
