The Independent High Electoral Commission reported on Sunday that it had received 248 decisions from the electoral judiciary regarding appeals submitted to the commission, noting that the vast majority of the decisions were in response.
The Commission’s spokeswoman, Jumana Al-Ghalai, said in an interview followed by Mawazine News: “Based on the statement of the Secretary-General of the Board of Commissioners of the Election Commission, Ali Faisal Al-Dahham, the number of decisions received from the electoral judiciary on appeals submitted to the Commission reached 248 decisions.”
Al-Ghalai pointed out that “the vast majority of the decisions were in response, since the Commission had returned, calculated and audited the votes in accordance with the provisions of the law.”
She pointed out that "the Commission received two appeals from the judicial body, and that it needs answers to some inquiries, which will be answered within 24 hours," indicating that "so far the Commission has not received a decision from the judicial body to open any of the stations or count or sort them.
