Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed the government's broad intention to invest in gas and expand investment opportunities in this promising sector, as well as developing banking work.
According to a statement from Al-Sudani’s office received by Mawazine News, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ Al-Sudani attended a working meeting in which the heads and representatives of 57 international companies specialized in the fields of energy, oil, gas and various economic fields participated, on the sidelines of his sovereignty’s participation in the Davos Economic Forum held in Switzerland.
Al-Sudani reviewed the government’s plans in the field of economic development and reform, which have come a long way, and the great investment opportunities, industrial city projects, the Grand Al-Faw Port, the vital development road project, and integrated oil field projects.
He pointed out the importance of solar and renewable energy projects, which were concluded with Chinese and Emirati companies. He stressed the government's broad orientation towards investing in gas and expanding investment opportunities in this promising sector, as well as the housing projects that were launched and other projects planned in all governorates of Iraq.
He stressed the importance of the banking reforms that were implemented and the Central Bank of Iraq worked on; In order to communicate with international banks to achieve compliance standards for the global financial and banking system.With
regard to strengthening stability and security in Iraq, Al-Sudani stated that the security and stability of the region depend greatly on the stability of Iraq, and that any attempt to destabilize the internal situation in Iraq or undermine its security will lead to damage to security.
