Abe: Japan to freeze assets of 35 North Korean organizations and personalities

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Monday that Washington and Tokyo have agreed to put more pressure on North Korea to halt its nuclear work.
Speaking to reporters, Abe told a joint news conference with US President Donald Trump that he agreed with the US president that China should play a bigger role in persuading Pyongyang to give up its nuclear weapons programs.
Japan supports Trump's position that all options are on the table when it comes to dealing with North Korea. "There is no dialogue for North Korea," he said.
The Japanese Prime Minister announced that Tokyo plans to freeze the assets of 35 entities from North Korea. "I have decided to take additional sanctions measures in our efforts to reach a solution to the nuclear and missile issue in North Korea and tomorrow we will issue a decision to freeze the assets of 35 entities and North Korea.
Trump started a 12-day Asian tour and looked forward to showing a united front with Japan in the face of North Korea amid mounting tensions over Pyongyang's nuclear and missile tests.
