A military commander moves stagnant waters and applauds the scenario of toppling Abdul Mahdi's government with new forces

Muhannad al-Atabi, the leader of the National Approach bloc, said on Saturday that there was a "political and parliamentary" movement to bring down the current Iraqi government headed by Adel Abdul-Mahdi.
"There is a strong political and parliamentary movement towards the overthrow of the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi," he said, adding that "part of this movement is declared and unspoken."
He pointed out that "this movement came with the presence of public anger over the decisions not thoughtful and unwise by the government of Abdul-Mahdi, targeting the poor and the latest targeting a leader of the victory, General Abdul Wahab al-Saed."
The leader of the "National Approach" bloc that "the performance and behavior of the government, which is followed by the current government is rational and unwise, and therefore found the vigorous movement to overthrow and change."
Atabi declined to name the political forces that will participate in this movement, which targets the government of Mahdi.
Earlier news reports said that the alliance, backed by Sadr's leader Moqtada al-Sadr, and the "victory" coalition led by former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, laid the initial framework for a plan to overthrow the current federal government headed by Adel Abdul Mahdi.
Abdul-Mahdi's decision to refer Lieutenant-General Abdulwahab al-Saadi, commander of the counterterrorism service to the Defense Ministry, has drawn widespread political and popular criticism in Iraq.
According to the information available, Abdul Mahdi signed a letter transferring al-Saadi from the counter-terrorism to the command of the Ministry of Defense.
The transfer decision was made at the request of the counter-terrorism chief, without giving further details.
Al-Saadi, a graduate of the first military college, was a graduate of the military ranks until he was transferred to the counterterrorism service.He became the chief of staff of the counterterrorism forces (equivalent to the former chief of staff of the Iraqi Republican Guard) and oversaw the graduation of many special operations fighters.
Al-Saadi played a prominent role in IS fighting since the battle of Ramadi, the center of Anbar province in 2014, until the city of Mosul was liberated.
