The leader of the Sadr movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, on Friday, that the resignation of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, does not mean the end of corruption, while suggested that the nomination of the successor Abdul Mahdi through a referendum.
Sadr said in a statement: "Thank God and thank the rebels and thank you for reference and everyone who supported and supported.
Sadr suggested, according to the statement, that "the nomination of the prime minister through a popular referendum on five candidates, and put the referendum funds in the soils of protests."
He called on Sadr to "continue to demonstrate peacefully and not to back down and deal firmly with all those who take violence from the demonstrators or against them, and through the security forces of the army and police exclusively."
The leader of the Sadr movement also called on "friendly countries and others to give the Iraqis the opportunity to determine their fate."
